Bear and Ragdoll—Making Instructions

Settle the children in a circle on the floor or around a table and create a calm atmosphere. The children should be quiet so that you can talk them through the process.

Children react better when the organiser speaks quietly as they want to hear what you are saying.

Distribute skins and stuffing. Tease of the stuffing. So that it is soft and fluffy.

Begin with the LEGS , making them as soft or as firm as they like.

 Next stuff the ARMS.

DON’T OVER STUFF AS THIS CAN DAMAGE THE FABRIC.

Make sure the stuffing is evenly distributed .

You do not have to use all the stuffing provided, just as enough fluff needed to your level of huggable softness.

Magical Star.

Try to make this step as magical as possible

Make sure the children are silent while they rub the star and make a wish.

They can then put it inside the bear or doll. Continue stuffing until the animal is nice and cuddly.

Once you have done this make sure that you are fully  satisfied because once the zipper is closed it CANNOT be reopened.

Remove the thread from the zipper. Please check that the zippers on the bears are fastened before returning to the children. Some of the bears have an additional pocket with a Velcro fastening. Make sure you remove the protective strip covering the Velcro, if you animal has one.

Voice box instructions.

If you have ordered voice boxes, please follow these simple instructions.

Rotate the upper part of the voice box until the grey recording button is exposed.

Then press the grey button on the voice box to record your message

 (10 second recording time )

Press the white button to  play your message back.

You can re-record following the same procedure until you are happy with your greeting.

Rotate the upper plate until the black microphone is exposed.

Place box in the hand or tummy of the animal with the white play button facing forwards.

NB. We recommend you only re-record a couple of times as this will use up the battery quickly and will reduce the number of play times.

T-Shirts

If you have ordered T-Shirts, decorate these now with fabric pens/ stick on jewels etc.

Make sure you have plenty of pencils and felt tips available for the Birth Certificate.

It is always a good idea to fill in the details in pencil first to avoid mistakes the children can go over  it with felt pens.

Try to ensure that they choose an individual name, rather than coping each other.

If you like you can just tie a ribbon around the bears neck to personalise them.

Enjoy !
