These ideas below can be adapted to suit the age of the Party-goers.

If you are running a party for older children, make sure you organise a suitable activity instead of the traditional games aimed at younger children.

Older children will enjoy a treasure hunt ; just come up with some cryptic clues and leave markers en route. What about a quiz—it could be bear related or completely unrelated with questions on pop etc.

 

If you have purchased T-Shirts for decorating, children will enjoy spending time creating the ultimate artistic creations with fabric pens, beads and stick on jewels etc.

 

Introductions

Meet and greet. Give the children stick-on labels to decorate and write their names on. Allow aprox 10 minutes for this. Hopefully all the children should have arrived by then, and you will be able to start the party.

You may have unusual  ideas of your own. The internet is also a good source. We would be delighted to hear about any     successful ideas you have had. And any comments you have overall. Just go to the contact us page  on the website.

You may also like to add an extra special ingredient to your party-decorated cupcakes to celebrate the birth of the new bears. Buy some plain cakes and a variety of cake decorations such as hundreds and thousands, jelly  tots etc candles and holders. Each child can then decorate their special cake and after the Birthday girl/boy has blown out the candles on their cake, every child can do the same with the specially decorated cake for his/her teddy bear/animal.

 

Bear and Ragdoll– making instructions

 

Settle the children into a circle on the floor or at a table and hand out the animal skins and stuffing.

The children need to be quiet so that they can hear your instructions.

Start by filling the LEGS, making then as soft or as firm as they like

DON’T OVERSTUFF AS THIS CAN DAMAGE THE FABRIC.

You do not have to use all the stuffing provided just enough fluff for your level of huggable softness.

Next stuff the ARMS.

 

Wish Star

 

Try and make this step as magical as possible.

The Birthday girl/boy should hand out the stars to each guest. Make sure the children are quiet while they rub the star and make a wish.

Then place the stars into the hand or tummy of the animal . Continue to stuff the animal until you are completely happy as once the zipper is closed it cannot be reopened.

Once happy close the zipper and remove the thread from the zip. Close the Velcro cover and you are done.

 

T-SHIRTS

 

If you have ordered T-Shirts

You can now decorate these with fabric pens /stick on jewels etc.

or just put a ribbon around the animals neck to personalise them.

 

Birth Certificates

 

Make sure you have plenty of pens for the Birth Certificates. It may be a good idea to fill in the certificate

except the name with pencil depending on the age of the children in the party.

 

These activities should take about one and a half hours depending on how many games you play or if you do cake decorating etc. allow 30 minutes for food a teddy bears picnic always goes done well.

 

Then when you are finished just put the Animals into the Carry Home Bags and you are done !

NO GOODY BAGS NEEDED

The bears are your goody bags and party entertainment.
